Artist Profile

As a group we came up with an artist profile of our ideal artist based on our chosen genre which is indie rock. We originally wanted to do indie pop but as we researched into it we found what we could do was limited and we found it hard to find well known artists that came under that genre. Indie rock seemed to be more popular and we found a lot of artists that we knew of which came under that genre and would give us influence to the type of artist we wanted. For the artist profile we had to think of what their target audience, name,costume, props and body language would be. As we hadn't chosen our unsigned artist and still havn't it was slightly more difficult, so we had to focus on our chosen genre and think of the influences of that style were like.

Our Artist Profile

• Body language- Chilled out, confident but not arrogant, down to earth, relatable 'off the street'
• Target audience- 16 - 24 year olds, mix gender, ABC1
• Costume- Skinny jeans (dark colour), neutral polo top or shirt, sunglasses (rayban style), plimpsoles or smarter shoes and messy hair 'bed head
• Props- Guitar
• Artist Name- The artists actual name, not a stage name or band name - more natural and again links to how we want our artist to be relatable
